Hnahthial Post | January 16, 2026, Aizawl: The Chief Minister of Mizoram, Shri Lalduhoma, today met Pu Chanchal Kumar, IAS, Secretary to the Government of India, Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER), at his office during the latter’s visit to Mizoram.
During the meeting, various developmental initiatives being undertaken in Mizoram with support from the Ministry of DoNER were discussed. The Chief Minister requested early resolution of pending projects of the Mizoram Government under the Ministry of DoNER and emphasized the need to expedite and simplify procedures, as delays in approvals and fund sanctions often affect the timely implementation of projects.
Pu Chanchal Kumar appreciated the recently established Ginger Processing Unit in Mizoram and noted that ginger is a major source of livelihood for a large number of farmers in the State, with production steadily increasing. He further stated that the Ministry of DoNER attaches great importance to the processing unit.
The Chief Minister was accompanied by Pu Vanlaldina Fanai, Commissioner & Secretary to the Chief Minister.
