Branch Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development Office, Ministry of MSME, GOI, Aizawl organized One-Day Entrepreneurship Awareness Program at PUC

Hnahthial Post | October 30, 2025, Aizawl: Branch Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development Office, Ministry of MSME, Government of India, Aizawl organized a One-Day Entrepreneurship Awareness Program (EAP) in association with Pachhunga University College, Aizawl today at Seminar hall, Pachhunga University College, Aizawl in which participants of different age groups, Students, Prospective Entrepreneurs etc. participated. This program was organized under the Entrepreneurship cum Skill Development Scheme of Ministry of MSME, Government of India. The objective of the programme was to create awareness among entrepreneurs / prospective entrepreneurs / students about the importance of entrepreneurship, processes, various government schemes in this regard and financial assistance and various processes available to promote Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) sector in the state of Mizoram.

The programme was graced by Shri Lalhmunsiama, Additional Director, Department of Commerce & Industries, Aizawl as Chief Guest and inaugrated the programme.

The programme was attended by Prof. H. Lalthanzara, Principal, Pachhunga University College, Aizawl as Distinguised Guest, Shri Shri Lalchawimawia Sailo, Representative Lead District Manager(LDM),State Bank of India, Aizawl, Shri David Lalmuanpuia, President, Mizoram Industry Owners Association, Aizawl , HoDs, Faculty Members etc. were present as guests and experts.

This program was coordinated and coordinated by Shri Samrat M. Jha,IEDS,Assistant Director Gr-I & In Charge of this office. The program was inaugurated by lighting the lamp by the guests. Shri Samrat M. Jha,IEDS, Assistant Director Gr-I & In Charge of this office in his welcome speech welcomed all the officers, guests, entrepreneurs and participants present . and delivered detailed information about the program objective, information about the importance of entrepreneurship, processes, various government schemes in this regard. All the guests who attended the program addressed the participants and encouraged the participants to move forward in the field of entrepreneurship and gave proper guidance from their experiences.

Shri Lalhmunsiama, Additional Director, Department of Commerce & Industries, Aizawl as Chief Guest in his speech addressed the participants and motivated all participating Students by citing different examples of Entrepreneurship. He explained the initiatives of Department of commerce & Industries, Government of Mizoram and assured for all support in future for participants.

Prof. H. Lalthanzara, Principal, Pachhunga University College, Aizawl in his speech addressed the participants and expressed his gratitude & happiness for organizing this programme for better future of Students towards Entrepreneurship. He motivated all participating Students by citing different examples of Entrepreneurship.

Shri Lalchawimawia Sailo, Representative Lead District Manager(LDM),State Bank of India, Aizawl gave detailed information about the financial assistance given by banks and various schemes run in the district and the role of District Lead Bank and other schemes run by banks.

In the program, Mr. Samrat Jha showed the video presentation sent by MSME Ministry, New Delhi to the entrepreneurs and shared all kinds of information and gave information about various schemes of Ministry of MSME, Government of India like My MSME, Udyam Registration, “Our small hands to make you big” through Champion Portal, way of marketing your products under PMS Scheme and GEM and market management, Z Certification Scheme, MSE-CDP, Mudra Scheme, Pradhan Mantri Employment Generation Programme etc. The program was formally concluded with a vote of thanks by Shri Harshad S. Kurware, I.E.D.S., Asstt. Director Gr-II of this office. A total of 80 participants took part in the program.
