Valedictory Programme for SEIL National Integration Tour to Mizoram Held in Lunglei

Hnahthial Post | November 11, 2025, Lunglei: The valedictory programme for the Students’ Experience in Inter-State Living (SEIL) National Integration Tour to Mizoram was held this afternoon at the HATIM Conference Hall, Kawmzawl, Pukpui, Lunglei. Lunglei District Information & Public Relations Officer Pu C. Lalhruaitluanga was the Chief Guest, while HATIM Principal Dr R. Lalnunthara graced the event as Guest of Honour.

Speaking on the occasion, DIPRO Pu C. Lalhruaitluanga highlighted the value of the SEIL Tour in promoting understanding among students from different parts of India. He said that through interaction and shared experiences, the participants were able to learn about each other’s cultures and lifestyles, and expressed hope that the students visiting Mizoram gained meaningful exposure to Mizo culture and hospitality. He also encouraged them to carry forward the spirit of unity and national integration.

HATIM Principal Dr R. Lalnunthara expressed appreciation for the opportunity to host the programme, stating that such interactions help strengthen relationships and mutual respect among diverse communities. He encouraged the students to continue promoting unity and harmony in their future endeavours.

Rev. PC Lalfakawma, Secretary of United Pentecostal Church (North East India), Lunglei District, led the devotional service. Former SEIL delegate and DIET Lecturer Pu HP Lalremtluanga shared his experiences and the significance of the programme. Cultural performances by Esther Hnamte, HATIM students and SEIL delegates were also presented.

The SEIL National Integration Tour to Mizoram was organised by the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), with nine students from various states visiting Lawngtlai, Siaha and Lunglei from 7 to 11 November. During the tour, the delegates interacted with elected representatives, officials, student bodies and local communities, and visited important cultural and historical sites to learn about Mizo heritage, traditions and social values.
